hey andreas1983;
Welcome to DaniWeb;
We were just discussing one way to get traffic to websites on a different thread. I think you should check out the Search Engine Optimization forum section heres the link http://www.daniweb.com/forums/forum45.html.

Hey I know the feeling. I've been trying to drive people to my site and it's just getting extremely dull and time consuming. I keep hoping that I won't have to pay for advertising. So far it's just been site after site. People are getting scammed everyday but my product which I back up 100% can't get people to sign up

You can start with forums, web directories, article directories, social sites, etc. Then put up a blog, and put fresh content as much as you can, blog is a good means of marketing as each posts are indexed immediately as soon as they are published, just make sure you configure ping servers to your blog properly.

First, your domain looks a little spammy and hard to understand. Would you purchase from a domain that looks like that?

Second, your design looks like it could use a little more professionalism.

Would fix the above before even trying to get traffic because making sales means everything.

How to get traffic? It's hard because your products are marketed by everyone else in Amway so you have to do things different to beat out the competition.

Who is your target market and where are they online? Finding this out is a huge step in the right direction. After you find out where they are online you will want to focus on forum/blog comments that interest and add value to readers... this is the only way legitimate customers will visit your website. Find common ground and upsell them.

Other possible ways are article marketing, newsletter marketing, banner ads, PPC, etc. It's really not easy to make sales online and 90% of websites don't succeed... it's a full time job with the whole world as competition

There are viable tools out there possibly to increase traffic to your web presents. The best way to get started is friends and relatives. Through social website such as facebook, myspace and many others you can possibly get traffica as quickly as posssible for free.
After efforts with friends and relatives, try search engine for per click advertisement pay andmake such your search engine words are strong enough to get your specific business online.

I agree with these two points.

I'd like to add that the landing page has a greyed out PR value which could mean three or more things (none of which I have time to check right now because the Montreal/Boston game is about to start and I have to run out to get cigarettes still):
1. Your subdomain has been banned from Google search results
2. Your subdomain is brand spanking new
3. The domain that you sub from is banned from the Google results

Another thing that puzzles me and could account for a serious penalty is the EN and FR Canadian hyperlinks on your landing page. Well, they are not hyperlink at all, I checked the code, they are javascripts. They turn into dynamically generated webpages eventually but is probably a real security issue with both the search engines and the end-user you are trying to attract. This technique is a common one used by malware installers and other bad boys.

I'd do a complete redesign with clean code (unlike the sloppy mess I was sifling through) and there's really no need for this project to have dynamic anything. Go straight, straight HTML. Seems to me that the time required to establish trust with the search engine and the Internet visitors with this monstrosity would be better spend starting over somewhere else.

That's just my opinion. Good luck.

Often people don,t look at the quality of their website, its looks, user friendliness and the quality of text written.
SEO techniques help but they cant overcome the above mentioned lacking.
Quality is the queen, give it a consideration too.

To increase traffic to your website, there are many way to to get it. The best way to get as I think is SEO, as described by many as above. You can also try social website like facebook, myspace and many others you can possibly get traffic as quickly as posssible for free. You can also do with commenting, forum posting that may useful.

Free traffic requires an initial working (At least)

Free traffic is a comes from search engines or people who know the site and loving it

And that requires some works

Video sites work well.
find a video of an item you might be selling, maybe a commercial, or a review, and edit the video to have your website posted on the bottom of the frame, then in the description add more info about the item, and if you want you can just C/P info from another site, and provide your site address at the top and bottom of the description. make sure to use lots of key words and key phrases that relate to the product.

free traffic. well I am afraid that will be difficult to find , if you want to get quick exposure at least you should have a twitter follower., this is the easy way, the hardest way to get as many visitor as possible that looking for the product that you sell

you have to search good keywords. There are free keyword generator online. Then do blog commenting and leave your link on the page with a hyperlinked keyword redirected to your website. When you get more backlinks you'll surely be on the top of google and more people will know your site.

I already felt that way I ask lot of webmaster on how to gain traffic, yeah I did what they told me and it’s just a process, not an easy task.

You can go to social networks such as facebook, my space, twitter, etc (theer are so many of them right now) and talk about your website, promote it....you can spend money on your advertisments (but you don't wanna do it),btw I saw somewhere an offer to be the first in google search for about 400 bucks.
You can leave your signature everywhere you go, but I doubt there will be a serious result..
Professional advertisment is a huge deal, indeed

does anybody belive in powerful free promotion?

Why don't you have time to recheck your site again, then ask yourself this "If you are a visitor of the site, do you think you'll like the site?" or "Think of your expectation about the site once you try your research as a visitor".

Take note that it is very important to satisfy the your audience taste, not just simply advertising or link building. From a more improved site of yours, maybe you could start to advertise again and expect more links.

nice, JasonCase24!
Nice tips!
I think it may be done for support of your site, but definitely service for customers' sake is great!

Getting traffic is a combination of a lot of things. The key to success is to create great content that visitors want to use, search engines will love and other websites will naturally link to. Of course, it's easier said than done.

I agree that forum and social commenting with anchor text will help.

If you're trying to sell products, you should create accounts on social sites such as facebook and myspace. You can post images of your products there and a brief description. Write some good quality articles and submit on article submission sites..

Isn't it just a standard affiliate site, the same as everyone who wants to sell the products online gets?

I would make an original website of my own if I were you, fill it with unique content, product reviews (based on YOUR experience of the products - i.e. yes you must purchase and test the products yourself and then describe the purchasing process and the product quality etc.).

Offer some kind of incentive for people to join your mailing list (if you don't have one, get an autoresponder and start building one)...

Show people you are an expert in the field. If you are not yet an expert, become one.

Help people with their problems related to your market niche.

Maybe then you can direct people to your products and reasonably expect some sales...

If all else fails, read Seth Godin, Permission Marketing.

Andreas,

I am in the same situation. I have created a new product and am having trouble attracting people to my website. I have been searching and found a few sites but they all charge fees. Your website is well done. Here is mine. Anyone have suggestions for us?

andreas,

Your website is well done. I have done some searching and have found sites but have hidden fees. I am still in my search.

Have you tried rss feeds? These can provide great backlinks to your site. So create some feeds of your site and publish to as many syndicators as you can.

Hello Member

I would like to say that yes there are free styles out there you can do, an yes they get you a traffic but do they actually get you the sales?

Majority of us think one traffic to our site and we can earn a cent. The truth of this is it can take up to thousands of traffic to earn that cent. And alot of dollars pushed out of our pockets. We have come to a term as a web site we own that targets traffic to you, the kind of traffic you are in need of from around the world, Or dedicated staff works with you in what you need, an the cost is superficial if you want to make money in truth you have to spend it.

Marketing is a key element, and making sure you don't run out of traffic as well but wouldn't you rather have 5 hits a day an one sale from those 5 am i right? So if you have any questions view our site we have more ad campaigns then this in our forums an can costume an ad campaign for you.

i suggest that you do blog commenting, social bookmarking, forum posting and blogging. These are the effective strategies to get your site on the top of search engines.

I think the best way is to visit social networks and tell about what you do)

this will attract attention)

and don't forger that you have to visit most visitednetworks.
And don't post junk information, becayse people won't react at all....talk to the point!

I think you need an SEO specialist and link builder to promote your site. You can hire filipino SEO spec. and link builder because they have the skills you want for your site to drive more traffic and rank your site in Search engines.
