help with driver for external HDD

im trying to install my western digital hard drive on windows 2000

if you need any at all , just plug it in and what happens ,does it look for drives ,if yes ,you should have gotten a disk with the drive ,if no disk go to WD's web site and download the correct drivers ,

You should be able to access the drive with the built in drivers in win2k, if you want to use the more advanced features of the drive (back-up software) it should be on the drive, or if it's on a CD shouldn't be hard to find on the manufacturers website.
