With Windows Media Edition XP, Asus motherboard disabled for sound, Audigy 2zs (ver 3.0+) drivers working fine. all other devices recognized and working, my previous and newly installed ver 10 of Windows Media Player will not play sounds with all format settings checked and designation as the default player. Direct X was reinstalled and updated as well as the Audigy software. Media Player cannot find a tuner though I have a tv tuner installed and working and I get the following message when I open up a sound file in any format "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."
Media Player otherwise seems functional. Any thoughts?
