Everywhere I go (Mashable, SearchEngineWorld, various linkedin groups, etc) I see new social media apps being announced and reviewed. It seems like MLB stats there are a mind-spinning number of apps out there and it is getting hard to keep track of them or evaluate them. And, as I have done in the past in other areas of my life (buying power tools for home repairs), I could sense myself gathering together a large conglomeration of these tools.
But like my power tools, I would find myself trying to use everything to justify my initial interest and commitment. In terms of social media apps, if you do go overboard you could end up generating so many statistics that when you try to report your results to the powers that be you run the risk of boring them to sleep.
Does anyone else thing that we are possible reaching social media app maximum density?
