Hey all, Im new to the forums here so bare with me.
My computer is an
XPS/Dimension 710 Desktop
its about a year old
2 gigs of ram
7900 gtx
Originally XP now Vista
at first id get a message saying a system 32 file was corrupted at startup
i eventually thought i had that repaired, but when i got to desktop i got an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_ bluescreen
upon reformat after reformat i upgraded to Vista, and at first i had issues with memory
i removed the 2 new gigs of ram i had just bought and left the original 2 in and it seemed to fix the problem
however, eventually i began freezing during the Vista loading screen.
On my first attempt at repair i simply unplugged my mouse and it worked fine for the first few tries at reboot, and didnt when i plugged the mouse back in, but if it was in a different port it was successful, so i assumed it had to do with the port.
now a week later, after installing the 2 updates from windows from yesterday, it began freezing again even when i had nothing in any of the USB ports, and only on a 2 day back system restore could i avoid the startup.
as a side note ive been able to run pretty graphically intense games/programs on my computer for the last week or so its been fixed.
if anyone has any idea whats been wrong itd be appricieated
my hardware diagnostic (the full one) came up with no errors.
im tired of talking to dell support week after week >.<
thanks,
Trevor.
