I'm feeling a bit foolish right now. Here's what I'm trying to accomplish: I'm replacing my current HD with a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9. I got it in the mail, took the old C drive out and replaced it with the Max. Of course it gave me a "Boot Disk Failure" message, not surprising me. The drive is good, went into CMOS and it is set to Auto and shows the cylinders, etc. I downloaded an app from Maxtor and it formatted 31 gig partition after putting the original back in, and setting the Max as primary slave. I want to re-format the disk and install Win XP Pro on the Max as primary master. Frankly, right now I'm confused; can't seem to get my act together on this. Any help appreciated.
