I recently made the mistake of buying one of these units off eBay. It would seem everything would be OK, IF I had the needed serial number (I can only guess, to be honest) to get the InstallWizard to put the software into my PC to use the device. I'd been playing with various USB driver searches and installs, but I feel without the programs, I can't really tell if it's working at all.
I recently looked at all the customers left with Dazzle paperweights and feel I'm about to join them. Sadly, ADS and Pinnicle are the only device capture makers on local store shelves that I've seen. My Digital Photo Maker was the first one I bought and Dazzle seemed like a good company at that time (2001?) Anyway, Pinnacle have yet to give me an email, as do SCM Micro, who I opted to email as well. Even the eBay seller hsan't told me where the serial number is or why there are two install discs labelled the same, but with different center ring codes?! My ADS DVD Xpress works best on my new PC, and I guess I'm stuck on that massive tower for video editing. Any knowledge I'd likely be happy to hear!! This is the DCS200 version with multicard reader as well.
