OK Seriously, I've been working on my second Hard Drive issue for about a week now and still I'm having problems. I have a Asus P4VP-MX Motherboard with 1.5GB of ram, 2.4GHZ P4 Processor. The Old HDD is 80gb while the new one that I'm putting in is 400gb. Everything is ok sometimes at boot and everything, and the computer is recognizing the 400GB harddrive just fine, but after a few minutes, the computer just freezes!! I'm left with no choice but to reboot. This situation got so bad that I was left with no other choice but to re install Windows XP Pro. Found out that the thing causing this problem was the new harddrive, for whenever I plugged it in, the computer would freeze after a while. I even had gone to the extreme and put both hard drives on seperate IDE channels. Same result. I promise you my BIOS are up to date, and that my jumper settings are optimal. Help me plz!!
