Nwhorselady 0 Newbie Poster

Hello everyone!
I am going to keep it as brief as possible. I bought a PC, Compaq Presario, OS XP, AMD Athlon 3500, 64 processor in September 05, still under warranty. The day after I purchased the PC the keyboard just stopped working, couldn't type a thing, but caps lock worked and lights were still on. Replaced the keyboard with several others, same problem. They all stopped responding within 24 hours to a week sometimes 2-3 times per day, however, the keyboard was working again after reboot.
Sometimes DH would call me and let me know that the keyboard stopped responding, but when I got home it was working just fine.
I had the computer benched twice with HP and had the motherboard replaced at home. I did the destructive recovery several times, nothing changes.
HP has promised me a new PC for a week now and hasn't responded to my calls, get the same run around every time I call: "Someone will call in 24-48 hours" No calls as of yet.
I am here to try and figure this one out because I have the feeling that I won't be seeing a new PC any time soon.
I have the distinct feeling that this is a software problem, HP did an extensive test, I do have the repair report on my desktop and found everything to be in working order, sent the PC back within 24 hours even though I requested for them to keep it for at least a week because that's the length of time I had no problems with the keyboard.
