I've been having some issues with my mouse lately. When I turned on the computer, the mouse pointer didn't appear on the screen. I looked in the control panel under mouse, went to hardware, and there was nothing listed. I went out and bought a new mouse and after I installed the driver and the installation rebooted, it worked. Unfortunately, after I rebooted my computer again it disappeared again. My new mouse has a usb - ps2 adapter, so I removed the adapter and plugged it into the usb slot, to see if maybe I just have a hardware issue with the ps2, but it still did the same thing. So I have something on my computer that is removing the mouse every time I reboot. Any suggestions?
