My computer won't boot up, with LED lights coming on from the motherboard and fans spinning for a few seconds, then shutting itself off. Furthermore, from time to time, if I leave the PSU plugged in, my computer will begin starting up on its own while I am in another room.

I have recently replaced the PSU twice, the first I got offhand from a friend and was said to be brand new, and the second was a Sunbeam Black Steel 480W PSU straight from the store, and each time the computer ran perfectly fine for a short amount of time, about a day after the first PSU and a few hours for the second, though I believe I went longer without a restart with the first PSU.

Also, in each instance before my computer started completely failing to boot up, my computer would shut off randomly while I was working in Windows, at times showing an error message saying, for example, x program could not initialize because Windows is shutting down, just before the shutdown.

I have tried starting up with only one of two RAM sticks, and that hasn't given me any results.

I have also tried starting up with just the essential components plugged into the PSU and this same problem occurs.

The only other solution I can think of would be to replace my motherboard. Any help will be appreciated.
