I recently began having a problem with Skype. Every time I make a video call, it takes up an entire core of my processor. This is a recent problem, only happening for the last few months or so. I opened up Process Explorer during a call and saw that DPCs are taking about 50% of the total CPU, with Skype taking another 20% on top of that.
I use Windows Vista SP2 32 bit, and Skype version 4.2.0.187. My computer is an HP dv6700 notebook; 2GB RAM, AMD Turion 64 x2 TL-60 (2.00 GHz).
Any ideas? Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
