I recently noticed that Windows Media Player 10 was not playing all mpg files. These same files played fine on other computers. I tried the following with no fix to the problem obtained.

reinstalled WMP 10
Rolled back to WMP 9
totally uninstalled WMP and reinstalled from Windows XP install disk
Installed the latest DIVX software
Installed the latest codecs K-Lite Codec Pack (this included media player classic which does play the files)
Installed WMP 11

Nothing seems to help.....any ideas?
