im not sure this is a good thing to say, but its true.
I find that tags are fine but for usability i now visit SO as the layout is easier and more functional. Especially on mobile.
Way to much scrolling with too much unwanted info first, hard to find tags tha are of interest (in my case php).

Yes I think its a matter of tweaking also. Tags vs subforums should be fime for user and forum . But i do feel the mass of avatar, profile cv changes does little for a user experience, more so on a hand phone that desktop maybe

Plus why couldn't you just make this kind of list appear when they click the primary category? So when they click Web Development then it'll take them to every post then they can enter the tags they want to give help for.

i an starting to feel it is not a great site to view, having to scroll down past all the so ans so joined so and so changed this etc multiple posts of apossible languages that have no relevance to me.
i see Stackoverflow use a button that displays tag by popularity so the most popular tags are easy to access. IMO a much easier experience.
I get the feeling that negative comments arent being viewed very well however thats my opinion. and its meant in a positive way

i agree with that i would like to see who is a mod. its not shouting but an question that should be looked at IMO.
If winning means everybody is happy and agrees with the new changes i doubt that will ever happen.

but even Microsoft had to listen to its users eventually when they introduced win8. Im sure they thought they were changing for all the right reasons.
Persomally i dont have any issues with the new approach but would be interested to see who is happy with new and who is not and will choose other sources for there time

i have a mailing list of almost 5000 which i send a newsletter /update monthly. i have grown this over some years and have used a mailer on my site ( pommo) hwever with the size growing it is becoming a chore, with frezez etc. so looking at mail servers but not too impressed with the prices i see of the better known ones. so my question is . has anyone tried sendy? The blurb looks reasonable and seems cheap but I am cautious. words are wind after all :)

In terms of being understood, although I am english and do not have a pronounced accent, on our travels my Dutch wife is more readily understood by others that have english as a second language than I am.
I perhaps speak tooo quickly but I hear non native speakers make the same errors and get by famously.
When we ere living in Mexico i was not well understood as i didnt have the american accent that they were used to hearing. same now as i live in Bali, Australian accents are easier for the locals to follow.

Installed without an issue. but made note a couple of v small things
password confirm needs a <br> to put it under, the password field as it is strange looking allignment.

in the site seetings for fonts i would like to see a data-list of suggested fonts.

If there is not a template or theme to be added it would be good to be able to size the heights of the footer header or i think the results will be a bit uniform.

@pacav69 yes thanks i know that but was just concerned changing drives would mess up the bootmanager. i had tried cloning before but had issues with bad sectors so i reinstalled just cant track a few files.
i will boot the old disk, I just wanted to ask incase there was an issue i didnt know about, windows seems a bit skittish at times

i want to run fire fox to export password files , i thought i had but seems i either didnt or lost it

I just replaced my hard drive and diid a new install. I now realise i left a couple of files i didnt back up.
my question is , am I ok to replace my old drive boot up , then export the foiles then put back my new drive .
its seems logical but im worried the pc will throw a fit and not be able to boot. thougt id ask before i try :)

I hit fruther problems testing this, the download error caused a download of something and it caused wamp to just keep downloading to the point it crashed my harddrive . took me a while to see the problem as i thougt i had a drive corrupted but will try again today with bettr explanation
im feeling as dumb as a bag of hammers at the moment :)

it shows a download alert (windows) with the usual open or save options but shows the file as 'download' no extension shown

i posted a file 3.jpg but download shows just download no actual file as such

it did occour that a lass might be good as im thinking of this as reusable but im only on nodding terms with OOP, might be a good reason to go that way. i;d like to get to gripos with thinks like connection testing and how oit would work with shared hosting though before trying to struggle ( again ) with OOP.

I am helping a friend build as site and at a testing stage. it came to creating a database and i discovered he was a bity lost. i explained howto do it in phpadmin but i then decided to write a page or 2 to install it would be a nice project to do.

well another roundabout way is to write the result to a file
