Make an item disappear after a fixed time?

Can any1 help me in this:
To the "Snake game" i'm working on, I need to to add a bonus food item that appears at random times in random positions and dissapear after a fixed time.
I really don't know what to do and not even where to place the codes :!:
I attached all the files needed for this project
