From the web I'm reading "I see a lot of people mention they got a fat bill from cloudwatch logs. I'm about to head into production and I want to make sure I don't make that mistake." So the integration is there and possibly a nice drain on your company's bottomline.

FAT is an older filesystem that has 2 versions FAT16 and
FAT32
Windows XP can use

. However if your going to be installing XP i recomend you use NTFS, which is a much better FS overall, as it adds alot of secutiry that FAT does not have.

Can mkdosfs create bootable FAT like file system on linux? I don't know if mkfs.fat can create bootable a FAT file-system, but the man page says that can't. The plan is to create a small basic kernel with bootable FAT 12. The man page says for mkfs.fat: mkfs.fat can not create boot-able filesystems. This isn't as easy as you might think at first …

Hello Guys, One of the unfortunate hazards of being a webmaster is the lack of movement and activity while you actually work. IMHO, fat is done. hard drives are much …

I'm sure your laptop supports
FAT32
:) A USB thumbdrive? It will format in FAT16 [FAT]. Follow these instructions, but choose FAT [the formats available to the particular drive will be listed in the menu]: http://www.ntfs.com/quest22.htm Or simply, in My Computer, rclick the drive. select Format... in the window that pops, and so on..

Why do you want to go back to FAT16? There's really no good reason to do that. FAT 16 can only support a partition size of 2GB or under. Do you mean converting from NTFS to
FAT32
, perhaps? This is not possible, at least according to Microsoft. The only conversion you can do is from
FAT32
to NTFS, but not back.

Try using Partition Magic. It has the ability to change the

partiotion to a FAT partition. Remember to backup the data before attempting any such stunts
