It's much easier to replace the cartridge than to try to clean it/mess with it. (Especially if you know the printer works.) I only work on printers enough to keep the carts changed and drivers installed. I hate getting ink all over my hands. If you can print, the jack that you have the cable in now is working. The rest is drivers. Also if the camera plug is actually in the printer you should not have a prob. with printing pix. If the software is in, it should all work. If it is supported, than try to format your computer and than re-installing the printer driver.
