Displays Icon Missing from menu bar in osx mavericks 11 Years Ago by cuivenion I have recently upgraded to OSX Mavericks and I'm mostly happy with it. My one gripe at the moment is that the displays icon for second monitors that I used to have in the menu bar is gone and I don't know how to get it back. I've tried googling but I can't find anything. It certainly isn't normal behavior, though I don't know a lot of people who use dual displays with their macbook laptops. I use dual displays on my Windows 7 laptop (Lenovo) and it doesn't seem to affect the cpu temperature - it is running an nVidia graphics chip set for both. According to Temperature Monitor it's the 2 CPU cores that are getting hot. I use the Macbook Pro to run karaoke nights using Virtual DJ hence the second screen. Maybe you should reinstall Python 3.3.4, because it may not have installed correctly. I'll research on it. You can try downgrading one of them. Also, remove any plugin you recently installed.
