Hello everyone!

I submit this post to see if you can help me to know if I have a virus or similar in my computer.

A few months ago I bought the 3Mb ADSL service (with Telefonica, Spain). At first it was a bit slow, specially emule. I did call my ADSL company. While waiting for their answer I did learn to open a few ports for my emule. Then emule went on fast fast fast. Great!
But the people from ADSL came into my house to check if everithing was ok. I tolde them yes. But they wanted to be sure. Therefore they brought me a new modem. When they left I could see emule was slow again. I wanted to open the ports, but the page to do it was diferent and I couln´dt do it. So I toke out this new modem and re-installed the old one. Internet was perfect again.

Until a few days ago. I started downloading some youtube videos with UltraGet yourtube as always do and at some point the program stoped working. It said failure at downloading or something similar. After this internet started to work badly. So I did call the company and follow the steps they gave me. At the end they told me my conecctions was ok, but something in my computer was causing this problem.

I have use several times vista options to restore the system, etc... The only thing I gained from this is that now explorer and emule works. But I can´t wach youtube videos or download them. I tried other youtube downloader program, but it doesn´t work. Why?

¿Can you see anything in my Hijackthis?

Hi! I experiment with my gateway and router too but I am very cautious when it comes to allowing other ports to open. I think what you have done is go beyond the usual practices or defaults set by your router that your computer's security had already been compromised.

Here are some of the software I use that might give your internet access the speed that you need without sacrificing your pc's security: atf cleaner, ccleaner, tuneup utilities, LSP fix, Vishal of askvg's windows tweaks, etc.

Good luck!

"But the people from ADSL came into my house"
Right here, I am blown away....
Wow. Oh, wow.
And youtube doesn't work? Life is better n better.
Your log shows clean.
I see no Antivirus working. You once had Symantec, there are traces of it still - go to the symantec website and download the tool to completely remove your version of their AV software.
And then get another AV product, perhaps a firewall also.

My laptop is brand new. Before this internet problem I used Norton Internet Security. But since Internet doesn´t work properly I can not download the necesary updates for this Antivirus.

Youtube is important to me as I live in the countryside during the week and have time to learn different things.

I tried to do online scans, but this doesn´t work neither.

I have no idea why Internet doesn´t work properly.

One day, trying this and that I was able to download the updates for the untivirus. Then was horrible, because it deceted several virus-trojans. When the problem seemed fixed and my computer was restarted, more viruses and tojans appear.

So I did a recovery using the Vista options. So it´s like I returnet to some days ago. Again no posibility from my Antivirus to connect.

This are a few things on my pc: infostealer.gampass, tojan horse.

I thought throught internet with experienced people I could do different steps to solve this problem, but maybe it´s too complicated.

Ideas?

Thanks!

I do understand. Let's see if we can detect and remove your spywae/trojans.
==Please download*** Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
from: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html
or: http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe
=Dclick that file, mbam-setup.exe, to install the application,
-ensure that it is set to update and start, else start it via the icon.
Select "Perform QUICK Scan", then click Scan; the application will guide you through the remaining steps.
ENSURE that EVERYTHING found has a CHECKMARK against it, then click Remove Selected.
If malware has been found [and removed] MBAM will automatically produce a log for you... do not click the Save Logfile button.
When it completes examine the log: if some files are listed as Delete on Reboot then restart your machine before continuing.
Post the Notepad log [it is also saved under Logs tab in MBAM].

***MBAM can still be installed and updated without a connection. Using a flashdrive on another system, download & save the installer file from http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebyt...are_d5756.html, then dl the latest updates file: http://www.gt500.org/malwarebytes/database.jsp , both to a thumbdrive.
Run the installer, when it completes uncheck the Launch and Update boxes to finish. Next, dclick the mbam-rules.exe file, it will install into MBAM.
