I think I did all of them correctly.

Well, if I have to reinstall it, how to reinstall it? Can I just reinstall it on top of my other installation that I did correctly?

Note: I did this on VM.

Are you sure you are running the appropriate version of java for this application? Are you running the OpenJVM or a certified Oracle Java version? If Oracle Java, what version? You do know that you can install more than one version on your system? I have 1.5, 1.6, and 1.7 on mine (find the official releases installed in /usr/java). Some applications I run require 1.6, and others 1.7... :-)

Step 2

You are about to add the following PPA to your system:
Oracle Java (JDK) Installer (automatically downloads and installs Oracle JDK6 / JDK7 / JDK8). There are no actual Java files in this PPA.

Install Oracle Java6: sudo apt-get install oracle-java6-installer

------------

Step 10 #7

I reinstall it and now I can move on, now how to find the path of the following:

ImageMagick Path?

FFMPEG Path?

SoX Path?

JOD Path?

OpenOffice/LibreOffice Path for jodconverter?

I try using the locate command (ex locate imagemagick) yet there is bunch of them, I cannot tell which path to use.

Also, how to install SoX in linux:

http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/InstallationOpenMeetings

Install SoX http://sox.sourceforge.net/. You should install SoX in a up to date copy! SoX 12.xx will NOT work!

This is what I have tried:

---------------------------

It still does not work!

To install sox in ubuntu, you can just use:
sudo apt-get install sox
According to the Package lists maintained by Ubuntu.com, Ubuntu 12.04 currently uses version 14.3.31. Which is newer than v12.xx of sox. So the version which is currently in the Ubuntu repos should be good enough!

But if you REALLY want to get the latest version of sox, you'll have to go here to download the source package and then go through the usual configure and build process. And if you have any missing dependencies for building sox, you'll have to go through the process of getting them installed before you can build sox.
Personally, I'd try installing the version in the Ubuntu repos first.

Note:
When attempting to install any program on Linux, your first port of call should always be your distros repositories.
You can search for packages on the command line in Ubuntu using:
apt-cache search xxxx
Once you've identified some packages you want to install, you can use sudo apt-get install xxxx yyyy zzzz to install the packages (again, where xxxx, yyyy and zzzz are the names of the packages you want to install)

By default, apt-cache search searches through the names and descriptions of all packages for the specified search term.
This can sometimes yield a lot of irrelevant results. If you want to cut down the number of irrelevant results, you can use the --names-only switch.
So in order to track down sox you could use:
apt-cache search --names-only sox
