I want to wire my printer to my linksys router. I found this server on eBay, is all i have to do plug it in to the printer and one of the ethernet ports on the router?

That's the way most networkable printers are supposed to work. Some may require additional configuration, depending on your router/network setup.

I've considered purchasing a few of those for the old printers at work. $20 adapter is better than a $200 printer with a nic built in =D

let me know how it goes.

usb printers aren't too good with these. but lpt printers work like a charm

yes, check compatibility

usb support is very flaky (but common ones e.g hp lazers should be ok)
