Do you have pirated copy of OS? If yes than you cant update your OS.

Might be issue with your Nero. Try to reinstall nero or any other burning software.

Its a malware attack. Run powerful antivirus and scan for malwares, virus. It may work fine later on.

I think its problem with her primary email Address. Are you sure the primary email id of her is in working status. The email bounces back only if recipients email ID doesn't work.

Simple thing would be reinstalling your os. It is because of registry corruption. So better dont use any registry cleaner or antivirus for now. Reinstall xp and than install registry cleaner and powerful antivirus.

Try reinstalling IE8 from microsoft site. It had happened to me. But the way you can try other browsers like mozilla or chrome for faster surfing.

Reinstall thunderbird and check it out. By the way I'm planning for this upgrade too.
