Hi, a few daze ago my friend told me about the story of Christie Brinkley and her 4th or 5th husband caught with an 18 year old. Stupid me, wanting to see a pic of her accidently downloaded the SmitFraud when the site told me I needed to update activeX or something. I called MicroSoft and they spent several hours on the phone helping me get my computer somewhat back to normal.

Then, I made another stupid mistake. I Googled, "Google Toolbar" and accidently download another virus, Trojan or something. Everything seems okay now but I noticed some suspecious files in my WINDOWS file, one of which is called "SoftwareDistribution".

Anyway, I ran all the programs U recommended.

Here's the Logs:

Best Wishes,

Raquel!

  1. Please download the latest copy of HijackThis from Trend Micro and save it to your desktop.
  2. Double click on HJTInstall.exe to install it. Click on Install. By default, it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
  3. Read through the License Agreement presented to you on the next screen and click on I Accept.
  4. Once installed, HijackThis will start automatically. If it doesn't, please go to your desktop and double click on the HijackThis shortcut created there.
  5. Select Do a system scan and save a logfile.
  6. Close HijackThis.

Note: Do not click on the AnalyzeThis button.

Do not fix any lines you see in HijackThis as most entries are harmless and needed for the normal functioning of Windows.

^^^ Okay, CyberPunk, I did that and edited my original post when I found the "HijackThis" program burried under open windows. I posted the log above.

EDIT: I should add, that I deleated the old Google Toolbar programs and did a fresh upload and the Google Toolbar is working now.

Thanks soooo much for that program U mentioned that caught and removed that Zlob Trojan! :)

BTW: what is the inent with the SmitFraud (I was tricked into buying a program and giving them my credit card info and canceled the credit card) and Zlob?

Thanks soooo much for that program U mentioned that caught and removed that Zlob Trojan!

Which program is that?

BTW: what is the inent with the SmitFraud (I was tricked into buying a program and giving them my credit card info and canceled the credit card) and Zlob?

It depends, we'll see from the next logs you post

CyberPunk, That MalwareBites program U directed me is the one that removed the Zlob and I published the HijackThis log (in the OP) subsequent to running that program yesterday.

Oh, you're welcome. The I missed my previous post because there was an ad right underneath it.

Your system may still be infected.
If you further want me to analyse your system status, please scan your system once again with MBAM on Full system scan and post the log file produced by it.
Also, please download Deckard's System Scanner from Tech Support Forum and save it to your desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.

  • Save all your work and close all opened programs.
  • Double click on dss.exe to run it. Follow the prompts.
  • When the scan is complete, two log files will be produced. The first one, main.txt, will be maximized, the second one, extra.txt, will be minimized.
  • Please post the contents of the 2 log files in your next reply. 1 log per reply please.
