A quick look through the log doesn't show anything necessarily bad, though you have a lot of unecessary auto starts and therefore a lot of extra processes running all the time in the background. This can be a drain on system resources for sure. You also have what is called a questionable anti-spy program called Spywarebegone. This is not one of those usually recommended. I would uninstall that one.
You also are showing two, or at least portions of two anti-virus programs running, Avast and Symantec/Norton. This is definitely a no-no and can certainly cause lots of problems. Choose one and totally uninstall the other using Add/Remove, following any prompts you may be given like rebooting, and then also do a manual file search for any remainders.
You also are running Spybot TeaTimer, turn that portion of Spybot off. While Spybot is an excellent program the TeaTimer portion is really more trouble than it is worth. It runs all the time in the background and also can interfere with removal of some infections or malware. Keep the Spybot but turn off the TeaTimer. You can turn it off by going into the program itself and doing the following;
Go to Advanced Mode, Click Resident and take the checkmark out of Resident TeaTimer. Reboot the system.
I think you should begin by following the cleanup steps given on this sticky above Read me before posting a request for assistance
Then post back here with the requested logs along with information on the computer itself;
hard drive size and how much space is remaining, how much RAM is installed also.

when ever i try to connect to the mac across the network my pc restarts and then tells me it has recovered from a serious error.

Have you previously been able to do this successfully?
Your logs shows various infections have been present at various times, other than this one. You have SDFix backups showing for one thing.
Can you look in the Event Log and see if it gives you information on the serious error?
Go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer. Look in there and see if you can find reference to this serious error and post here what you find.

I have tried to recreate the error but i can connect to the mac know with no porblems. this is all the information i could get.

Source : System error

Catagory : 102

Event ID : 1003

Type : Error

Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 806ee753, parameter3 b6ec3acc, parameter4 00000000.

this was from the bottom of the error log window this is the data in words

0000: 74737953 45206d65 726f7272 72452020
0010: 20726f72 65646f63 30303120 38303030
0020: 50202065 6d617261 72657465 30632073
0030: 30303030 202c3530 65363038 33353765
0040: 3662202c 61336365 202c6363 30303030
0050: 30303030

i will get rid of the SDfix backups now.

You are still showing portions of Norton running on the system, plus your Add/Remove log shows Norton 360. Since you appear to be using Avast as your antivirus program then you absolutely MUST uninstall that Norton. Use Add/Remove to remove the Norton 360 and then do a file search on the computer for Norton and then Symantec. Remove all instances found.

You say that you CAN connect to the Mac now?

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware removed the Vundo Trojan. Empty the quarantine files there and update and run the program again. I would also like you to run HiJackThis again and post back with both new logs. Do this AFTER uninstalling that Norton program and also updating your Java program.
As I said before you have quite a few unnecessary auto starts, one of them being Microsoft Office. This can very easily be run manually and doesn't need to auto start.
One of the application hangs showing on the logs was for bridge.exe...there is a possiblilty that this could have been a trojan. Another showed a hang on Windows Word and another on Outlook. Do you use Outlook as your email program?

thanks for the reply i have tried to remove all of norton and symantec i am now searching to see if anything is left. i have finished work for the day now so i will run what you have asked and post back in the morning and let you now how it gets on.

i will stop the unnesaccery start ups in the morning.

thanks for all your help on this. my comp might eventually be infection free.

o and another thing bridge does not work any more since the virus's found where removed. that will have to be reinstalled.

That is fine. I will check back on it tomorrow. The infected file was a trojan downloader located in the Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0. There are newer versions of the Acrobat Reader, in fact the latest version is Adobe Reader 9

the adobe acrobat reader in the professional version so i need to keep that version on the comp. here are my logs i had to leave the comp on friday before they had chance to finish on scans.

Looks good to me. Is everything working now?

i just logged on to the mac and it crashed again once it had restarted i logged on again and it was ok.

when i first log on to the computer all the text that goes with the short cuts on the desktop have a shadow behind them and then it gradually starts to disappear? dont no why it is doing that as that is something new.

also the trojan downloader that was in acrobat reader has that gone now.

do you know of any good free anti virus programs for the mac with os 9.1

Sorry but I am not at all familiar with macs. I am sure though there is somebody here who can advise on that.

i am all clean now?

if so thanks for all your help.
