Agal. You continue to get LOP infections. What have you been up to? :).

First of all could you click Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and uninstall 'Window Search', 'Window Searching', 'Lop.com', 'LOP SEARCH', 'Browser Enhancer', or 'Ultimate Browser Enhancer' if listed. You may be given a code to insert, do so and reboot when done. If not listed there, run this uninstaller:
http://members.rogers.com/rjmac/new_uninstall.exe

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.jaejgialjuzfolqgw.com/IS...ZYy0VCrrMqX.cgi

Reboot and post another log.

Did you run the uninstaller that I linked to in my previous post?

Hey Crunchie,

I didn't find the programs you want me to uninstall and the R1 - HKCU is not found but it's different now????

You have hijackthis in a Temp folder. Click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and double click to run it.

I hope I did it right,

You need to move it from C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\TD_0002.DIR\HIJACKTHIS.EXE to anywhere other than there, but not in a temp folder.
Right click on your desktop and then NEW\FOLDER. Name the folder anything you want. Go to hijackthis.exe and drag it into that folder. You now have C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\anything you want\hijackthis.exe :).

Did you run the LOP uninstaller? If not, please do so.

Is it right?

I take it back, I got the search bar again.

Uninstall Messenger Plus if you have it as it comes bundled with LOP. You can reinstall Messenger Plus without the sponsor.
You will have to run the uninstaller again and post another log.

Nothing bad in that log. Did you have messenger plus?

Well I'm not getting that search bar anymore (for real this time) and as for msn it was msn messenger 6.2, something like that.

I have found running in safe mode to start off, running disk cleanup in all categories on drive C, set folder view option to unhide everything, double-checking by manually removing all files in all temp and all cookie folders, running internet options and deleting all offline files, installing BHO Demon 20. Demon will only identify the problem, but then you know what it is and where it is most of the time. With a bit of sleuthing, you might just solve the problem and learn more about what happened and how to prevent it in the future.

Hi all. I have the same problem, the search bar just appeared after my wife was online. also having problems with some programs not ending processes i.e. firefox and win media player. i have used Hijack this in the past but was unable to determine what was good and bad. Please advise!

Thank you

Hi pigwink.

First of all- welcome to Daniweb :).

We ask that members not piggy-back questions on to a thread previously started by another member here in the Viruses, Spyware & other Nasties forum, (regardless of how similar your problem might seem). Not only does it divert the focus of the thread away from the original poster's problem, but it also makes it less likely that you yourself will get the individual attention that you need.

Please start your own thread and post your question there. When you do, please try to give us as much specific info as possible regarding the problem (exact error messages, system specs, etc.).
