None of my anti-spyware/maleware tools would update. And i could not get to malewarebites.org, but I was able to get the tool and update it from the other site besides malewarebytes.org. I ran the tool and it removed two things and then spyware doctor worked, yeah. But I still feel as if there is spyware on my computer. Netstat shows a lot of listing and established conections on my computer. And peerguardian 2 shows even more conections going out on my computer and lists many of them as spyware and blocks them. But there is a lot more that it doesn't block. After I enabled hidden files to be shown, disabled windows defender, and ran malewarebytes and rebooted, I ran hijack this. Here is those two logs.

First thing I note is you are running NO anti-virus program and no firewall, unless you are using the built in Windows Firewall.
I see the following listings on the HJT log:
R3 - URLSearchHook: SearchSettings Class - {E312764E-7706-43F1-8DAB-FCDD2B1E416D} - C:\Program Files\Search Settings\kb126\SearchSettings.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SearchSettings] C:\Program Files\Search Settings\SearchSettings.exe
SearchSettings.exe is generally considered malware (Trojan) and should be removed. . It has been known to install during some shareware and freeware program installations.

O4 - Startup: LimeWire On Startup.lnk = C:\Program Files\LimeWire\LimeWire.exe>>>certainly NOT needed to run on startup, meaning it will run all the time....you are really taking a giant risk P2P anyway and then doing it without an anti-virus program is doubly dangerous.

First off, thank you very much jholland1964. I actually have two firewalls (Windows Defenders built in firewall and PeerGuardian2). Also I have Spyware Doctor, Spybot S&D, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Hijackthis, and CCleaner. Is there an anti-virus program you would recommend? Also after following your advice and rebooting, I did another Hijackthis scan. Can anyone else see anything that he missed? Or am I clean?

I actually have two firewalls (Windows Defenders built in firewall and PeerGuardian2).

Windows Defender is the anti-spy program, you must mean you are using the built in Windows Firewall, that is fine then it just doesn't show on the HJT scans. If you have that one turned on then don't use another one. It can cause conflicts in programs, so I would remove that PeerGuardian.
There are several good, free anti-virus programs Antivir is the one I use, Avast is also good and many use AVG 8

Thanks again, here is the hijack log after all that. Let me know if there is anything else i should be worried about. These files look supicious to me:

First thing you need to do, or any fixes done won't work, is to get rid of Spybot TeaTimer. You don't need this part of the program and it does interfere with fixes which may be done by blocking some changes.
To stop this from running do the following:
Disable Spybot's TeaTimer

* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode
* If it is not already set to do this, go to the Mode menu
select
Advanced Mode
* On the left hand side, click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident icon in the list
* Uncheck
Resident TeaTimer
and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer

The Gopher Prefix is nothing to worry about, it can be fixed if you wish but from what I have been able to find it is actually sort of a left over from when Gopher was a search protocol for the web before there was a web.
The Skytel entry is a program related to the Realtek Voice Manager used by some of their audio chipsets. This one is up to you, meaning if you want it to run fine, if not it can be fixed.
That O23 entry will have to be stopped via Services. Go to Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Scroll through the list until you find it, double click and change the start up to Disabled.
You actually can do the same for the AdAwareService entry also. Unless you have the paid version this service does nothing but run, so also change it's start up type to Disabled also.
Reboot the computer after doing both of those.
The java entries indicate that your java program is way out of date. Current version is 6 update 11. You need to update that. To do this first go HERE and download the Offline Install for the latest version and save it to the desktop. Then go to Add/Remove and Uninstall ALL old versions of java that you find there. Once that is complete double click that install file to install the newest version. Once the install is complete go back to the download page and on the right side you will see Verify Now. Click that to go to the verification page to check to be certain that your install was successful.
