The computer I am working on has this nasty bit of SpyWare on it. (It's for a school, hence the kiddie software, aol, etc...)

Can you guys please help me?

Thanks!

I have Downloaded and ran HiJackThis. The log is attached.

I have ComboFix at the ready as well.

I tried to install AVG 8.0, but due to the fact that htis PC has XP Pro SP1 on it, it won't let me install until I put SP2 on it.

I think this little baddie is causing a Win32 error and shutting me down after about 30 mins, so I am unable to install SP2 successfully.

See if you can update MBA-M and do another scan.

According to their site (http://www.malwarebytes.org/) I have the latest version...

Norton ran a quick scan after the reboot and confirmed the presence of Downloader.Mislead.App and has it set to "Left Alone"

I just want to get rid of it, download SP2 or SP3 and update to AVG.

I am at work now so cannot check my version, but I know that as of 36 hours ago, the following was the latest version;

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.33
Database version: 1663
Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1

Did you update through MBA-M's updater, or from the site?

I will try to connect it to the Internet tomorrow and update it.
