I'm running XP and just installed Mozilla to heighten my security from intrusions. I do an adaware scan every other day and use spybot, and use ZoneAlarm firewall. I also use Avast, although this has trouble working nowadyas (?). I am now being constantly inundated with pop-ups and the usual winfixer nonsense. Have run the usual adawre etc, but keeps happening!
PLEASE HELP!!!
My hijack log is as follows:

Am getting close to completely wiping OS - have never had this happen before! Appreciate comments and advice. Many thanks....

Ok, first off, you have a Vundo infection.

We're gonna do 3 things.

1) Ya need to move HJT into a permemant folder. Begin by creating a new folder inside Program Files, and name it HJT. Drag the HJT icon into this folder.

2) Download VundoFix to your desktop. Then double click the icon, and hit Scan for Vundo.

After scanning, click 'remove Vundo.

You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
Turn your computer back on.

3) Download Ewido, and be sure to update definitions.

Post back here with a new HJT log, and the contents of this file:

C:\vundofix.txt

Thanks.

Thanks for the response. Things were getting so bad that I had to do a system restore yesterday - I couldn't run explorer due to the constant barrage!
I have run Vundo and it didn't find anything:

Click Fix Checked

----------------------------------------------------------------

Download pocket killbox from http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/killbox.exe & put it on the desktop where you can find it easily

Now Start killbox Copy the list of files below to the clipboard by selecting all of them with your mouse (Left click the start of the list and drag the mouse to the bottom of the list) and when they are all selected ( highlighted in blue) right click on any part of the blue area and say copy

In the Killbox, Go to the toolbar press file and select Paste from clipboard. The first file name will appear in the window and if the file exists it will appear in blue under that window then select standard file kill, press the red X button, say yes to the prompt and once the file deleted message comes up then press the red X again and continue to press untill the last file on the list appears in the window & it says deleted.

File List:

C:\windows\System32\WinNB57.dll

C:\Program Files\websx\int113779.exe

C:\windows\system32\elitecik32.exe

C:\windows\newname9.exe

C:\windows\mousepad9.exe

c:\windows\eee2.exe

If any fail, just take note which ones and skip them...

Download the Free trial version of Spysweeper

http://www.webroot.com/consumer/pro...&rc=4129&ac=tsg

Update the defintions and run it, let it remove whatever it finds.

Then download ewido

www.ewido.net - Install. Update. Scan. Remove anything it finds. (Save the log)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Post a new HJT log, the ewido log, and the spysweeper log
