Just these two: Unzip HJT into it's own permanent folder before doing anything in order for it to create backups. (Not a temporary folder or directly on the desktop & not directly on your hard drive). Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked' :

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {707E6F76-9FFB-4920-A976-EA101271BC25} - C:\Program Files\TV Media\TvmBho.dll (file missing)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the bold below into a new text file. Save it as URLRepair.reg (Change the 'Save As Type' to 'All Files'). Save it in C:\

REGEDIT4
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\URLSearchHooks]
"{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}"=""

Locate it (in C:\) and double-click on it (launch it). You'll recieve a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?". Answer yes and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

Ok, I did all that, but about:blank is still showing up, and when I run ad-aware Jeired keeps showing up, i remove it, and it shows up again. heres another HJT log:

Download the zip file I attached & create a folder on your desktop, doubleclick on the dllfix and install it into the folder you just created.
1.Run start.bat and press option 1. 'output.txt' will be created in the folder. Post the results of the log here.

Well, last night my cousin told me about a program for virus prevention/detection called Avg. I downloaded that and scanned, turns out it picked up about 14 different things, half of those 'viruses', i cleaned all of those and it appears to have gone away for now. Thanks for all your help and patience crunchie, you guys run agreat site here. I'll keep in touch if it resurfaces again.

No worries. I'll be here :) .

When I thought I was in the clear...

Aack, it appears that in fact, i was not cleaned, after about 15 mins just browsing this forum, a random pop-up appeared ("oh crap" i say), i closed IE, brought it up and about:blank was there again. Came back, downloaded dllfix etc. but it won't do anything, opens and closes. If i run it with command prompt, it simply creates a new window.

Also, here is a log from when i ran AVG and cleaned the first time. Restarted and ran just now with no detections, ran ad-aware, no detections.
