Who do you appear to have both symantec and AVG antivirus software on your PC? This will slow down the PC to extremes. Take off Symantec and just concentrate on using AVG which updates daily rather then weekly like symantec products.

Alas I also found that having Yahoo messenger on Startup slowed my pc right down too

Looks like you have a Vundo infection too.

1. Download this file from one of the following links :

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/combofix.exe

2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply, along with a new hijackthis log.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

I never noticed that on first reading Crunchie - noticed 2nd time around though.

sorry i took so long to respond have been busy
here is the log file

Save this as CFScript.txt and change the "Save as type" to "All Files" and place it on your desktop.

Referring to the image above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe.
ComboFix will now run a scan on your system. It may reboot your system when it finishes. This is normal.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

CAUTION: Do not mouse-click ComboFix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

Post another hijackthis log too if the removal was successful.
