you can start with a much larger pic.. my avatar was originally 738k..
then i cropped it and saved with MS Office picture manager. a pretty
smooth and painless process.. you can square it up when you crop it
then resize it down by pixel size and save.. i think its like 7k now.. well
under the 57.3 k or whaterver max size is
helps if i log in.
