You'll find that themeforest are probably king when it comes to wordpress, and their sister company tutsplus offer really good newbie tutorials if you plan on wordpress development.
I always hear the useful plugin, optionstree mentioned and I can't say enough good things about it.
What sort of information were you looking for? Development or just plain old theming?
