After the time has expired to edit a post can you just remove the Edit Post button? It's somewhat confusing to make changes then no Save button.

The edit button does automatically disappear. This only happens if you visit the page just at the cusp of the expiration window, where you load the page (where the edit button appears) just before the edit timeframe is up, but you actually click the edit button just after the edit timeframe is up.

Ok, it's probably just a timing issue then.
