Which people? Seriously, I don't know anyone, not a single one, who still uses a directory site and I know a lot of people. This has been true for many years now. Search killed the directory model dead, as Dani says, as a doornail.

Directories are dead a long time ago! There is just no need of directory submissions, only Yahoo and DMOZ directory submissions is enough !

Yeah, directory submission is now not a useful method for link building. Only high PR and do follow directory are useful and there are no guarantue for approval.
