I think you should concentrate on other parameters like alexa rank, DA , PA, etc.

The important factor for page ranking is the content to your site. Provide a high quality content so that it can drive higher traffic to the websites. Make sure that your content matches your description and keywords. always update the content of your site. Donot overload your site with keywords. Make use of social networks where your site will be visited by many other visitors. if your content is of high quality then you can drive high traffic to your website which will help in increase the page rank.

to increase page rank you need to establish your website as a authority in a spoecific area so you need to do the following

  1. High quality & original content in your area
  2. Mobile friendly website
  3. User friendly website
  4. Regulary content
  5. Social media profiles for your website (facebook, twitter/linkedin e.t.c)
    If you do these things the rest will take care of itself that is
  6. You will get a lot of backlinks
  7. You will get a lot of social media shares
    The problem is that most people try to game the sysyetm by buying links and oversharing their content on social media - This can work in the short term but if you want long term organic rankings on the first page of search engines i suggest you focus on 1-5

Page Rank is no longer considered a valid metric and hasn't been used by Google for a long time due to how easily it was abused.

What you should worry more about are Trust Factor and Citation Flow - aka are the sites linking to you trustworthy, and if so, how closely related in topics are they to your site? If your site is about selling fitness supplements and you're getting a link from a site that has to do with computers, it's not going to do as well.

I agree about not wasting time trying to manipulate PageRank. It was a useless idea from the get go but it still somehow seems to make many global marketing "entrepreneurs" and all the corporate shareholders very happy. Silly idea from the very start, everyone let's pump up a stupid green bar. Retarded.
