Dear all

in my desperation I have joined this site in hopes that someone out there on a tuesday evening will be able to help me with my USB plug situation.

I have a laptop from HP, specifically a Compaq nx9010 and although it's old and heavy I really love it because it's been with me for a few years now and travelled far with me as well.

However, recently I have noticed that my USB plug is not registering when I plug it into the laptop. I have tried other computers and they work fine. Is there anything simple I can do to get the laptop to register my USB plug when I plug it in?
