This isn't the first time i've heard this... it's called a beep code. If you're computer beeps once when it boots up, that usually means it's runnin' well and good. If it beeps 2, 3, or 4 times its usually a video memory problem. I would swap video cards, and see how that treats ya.

But to make sure, i'd check the beep could for your computer. Search around.
