Hi there

I am new to this, so excuse the terminology. We replaced a LCD on a Acer Travelmate 4200 laptop, but used another LCD from a HP NX8220 laptop, instead of purchasing the right LCD!!! Now we cannot read all the icons and it seems there is a graphics problem, so we went into the control panel and got the right description and downloaded the right driver according to the info on the control panel and that did not work and then we tried to download also from Acer and that also did not work....

Please help.

You're guilty as charged. Changing horses in a midstream torrent is always a bad idea. ; )
It might help tho if you check for bad and/or cross connections at change over point. Barring that, it's strike 3 and you're out of pocket for a fix, more likely a "correct" replacement at least.
