I have a dvd/rw and a cd/rw on the same system and they cant read anything now. the OS is win 2000 pro.
It just started the other day, any ideas???

Check your IDE cables, they may have possibly come unplugged or maybe they're bad. I've had a few IDE cables go bad on me.
Check the device manager and see if there's any problems with them, or if they're even bein' detected.
