My computer keeps making that small little clicking noise, the one that usually plays on internet explorer. Even when I am not using Internet Explorer and when I am in Fire Fox it goes off.

Also many times random pop ups come up when i am not using a browser or doing anything at all.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? It seems to only happen when I am connected to the internet, also I have tried restartein my computer but nothing good yet.

It's an infection, Virus/Adware.

Your system is commencing web activity without your knowledge, that's why it's making noises associated with IE and oppening pop-up windows.
