I bought an HP DV4T-1000 model laptop 8 months back.It worked fine for 6months,
When I start (sometimes it works fine) it up at first the screen will not come on(only black screen is seen) but lights on and the fan on.
In order to get it to start right I have to hold down the power button and turn it off and on like 8 to 9
times or more before it finally starts normally.
I want to know whether it is hardware problem or any software problem.If it is hardware problem I have gaurantee.

call HP tech support if you still have guarantee, its sounds like it could be either !
try removing the battery and try starting with just the power cord plugged in
