When i switch my pc on it doesnt do anything. The only thing that happens is the cpu fan moves about 4milimeters but then dies?

I have disconnected hard drive, cd drives etc and even taken the RAM out. Anyone know of any solutions or causes. It has been working fine

Any help will be appreciated

PLease check power supply and or power supply switch. if Ok check mother board.
