hi, i recently got a new computer and it was working fine until a couple days ago. The power went off at my house and when i went back to turn on my computer it would start to load up and it got to the point when it says windows xp with the loading bar right below it. Then it just shuts down but the moniter and the actual computer are still on. It's like when u put it on stand by. please helppp!!!!!!!!!!

try starting up into vga mode or last good configuration
you can get to the options by hitting f8 key when it booting up before the screen with the xp logo
look for when it tells you to do so
