Ive used this site in the past, and Ive received excellent advice. My cd/dvd drive isnt working for some reason. The drive isnt listed under my computer, and it doesnt open while windows is running. The weird thing is that I can open it during the startup. Ive tried opening the drive during the startup and leaving it open in hopes that i will be able to use it when startup is complete, but once I close it nothing happens.
I had this same problem before and I sent my computer out and the insurance put in a new combo drive and it worked fine. Now a month later, Im having this same problem. I know the drive works because it opens during startup, but for some reason after startup it no longer works. Ive tried deleting the upper filter thing but that didnt work. (no lower filter).
Id appreciate any help you can give! Thanks.
