well i have two HDs, i took one out of my wifes dell when it died and added it to my dell 8200 1.7 Ghz, worked fine for months, then started saying it couldn't find one of HDs to pres F1 to continue. But in windows it shows. i actually store all my digital pictures on it, well last week after trying to see what was up i unplugged wires messed with the slave and master settings, after that now it's switched and says it can't find my other hard drive "Primary HDD 1" which has windows installed on it...once again press F1 and everything is fine, shows under My Computer and of course windows loads. today i just moved my files to my secondary HD and reformatted my primary HD (with windows) and reinstalled turned it into two partitions. still says it can't find Primary 1. everything still loads fine though, SO...how do i get it to stop?

Weird problem. Did you try clearing the CMOS? This could be an incorrect setting in the BIOS. Resetting the BIOS should help.
