How do you know the problem is the motherboard? How do you know it's not the hard drive, etc.

The first thing I would try would be to look for a video out port , hdmi would be good but vga would be fine. Just plug it into an external moniter and see if you get a result. If the graphics chip hasn't spat the dummy then you might be able to work with it from there
