Greetings!

I've recently poured a glass of water into the keyboard of my Alum. 15" Powerbook G4. I responded quickly and shut it down & poured off as much as possible. Next, I removed the uppercase and left the laptop open for 3 days to air/fan dry.

After reassembly, it boots and works fine when on AC power. When I pull the plug...the screen goes dark (like the lowest brightness setting) and, as far as I can tell, the machine locks-up.

I can recover by turning it off with the power button. If I plug the AC back in, it boots and runs fine again.

Something is wonky with the switchover to running on battery.

Any suggestions on where to look to try to resolve this issue?

Regards,
tmatt.

Your battery's probably dead. Get it tested, and/or buy a new one.
