Hi, i'm thinking to purchase a new monitor. The problem is, i have no idea which one to pick. what are the diffferent between TFT , crystal bright, widescreen monitor? what abut the prices?Thanx

hi mate, firstly tft is what they are (thin film transistors) tfts are usually more expensive than standard lcd's as each pixel is controlled by 1 to 4 transistors, tft's are often called active matrix lcd's, crystal bright is a bit light sonys black onyx, they have various propertys,some provide clear veiwing even in direct sunlight, and are designed for all round better veiwing. a standard lcd will be fine for normal computing unless you need hi-res, and lastly widescreen; just as you get widescreen tv's you can also get widescreen monitors, better for watching films etc.
