I had an old pc that i had got in 01, it had an 900mhz cpu and a 20GB harddrive. in 03 i upgraded to windows xp and now it is getting increasingly slower. So i bought a new motherboard/cpu bundle off of the net, it had a 2.5GHz cpu and 512 MB DDR ram. the old one had PC 133 of 256 sd ram. I got every thing together and ready to go. :cheesy: Then I boot and the post screen comes up. It finds 512 MB of ram, it sees the hard drive and the CD drives, ok then XP starts to start. then without going any farther than the windows screen, it reboots back to the POST . and a subliminal error blue screen flickers right before the POST. it took me to the windows start up minu since windows didn't start normally, well i try normal again and then safe mode, and then safe mode with command prompt and the same thing. then i try an win 98 start disk, it boots to an a prompt with no problem, look at the cmos settings and see no problem, checked the manual to see if there is any jumpers to be set and find nothing. I am stumped!!!!!!!!!!!!
