Hi. I've just installed a new liteon dvd writer.
I can't get any sound on any dvd weather I use Nero or windows media.
Sound works fine when playing mp3 music in win media.
Nothing is muted and the volume is set high.
When I go to play a dvd it prompts me to download dolby at a cost.
Is this normal. I've installed, uninstalled and reinstalled nero 7 which came with the hardware. I would have thought all essential software drivers would have came with the product.

simple query: did you install the sound cable on the back of the drive?
dolby isn't generally a required feature f/playback.
